0.2.4!

Thank you to everyone who has played and provided feedback! This update is mostly a fix / polish update. Adding the much many things that couldn’t quite be fit in before the gamejam and addressing bugs and feedback.

New Things

Visuals Update

  • In Game background decorations!

  • Improve Lighting: Remove harsh lighting and generally optimize glows
  • Spin to Win Opacity Tweaks (limit floor pass through)
  • No manager spawning during opening story dialog

  • Fix issue where repeat ticket winnings text would overlap

  • Fix issues with incorrect prompts between hiding and interacting (game vs hiding spot)

  • Fix issue where player was ‘stuck’ in previously played game (could ‘rejoin’ from anywhere)
  • Fix issue where players could get stuck around bottom row machines
  • Fix issue with manager sprite wasn’t properly layered
  • Fix issue where you could get stuck between competing events (manager caught vs prize cabinet dialog)
  • Fix issue dialog letterboxes with prize corner
  • Fix issue where outlines weren’t always properly layered
  • Fix Switch Controller prompts mixing up X/Y
  • Fix issue with Dialog and Multiplayer / Controllers

Story Mode Fixes

  • Fix issue where player could ‘partially’ start an new game while ‘done’
  • Fix dialog overlap
  • Prevent player from joining a game during dialog

Optimization

  • Greatly improve(speed up) UI keyboard interactions

  • Cabinet Refactor / Optimization (shared code / all games)

    • Less Memory (including a memory leak fix)
    • Optimization on repeat action games
  • Interaction Optimizations (Improve performance and proximity detection)
